Springhill Suites complete $1.5M renovation

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Prescott has completed a nearly year-long full-scale renovation including 105 guestrooms, lobby, business center, conference room and outside patio. The $1.5 million project was headed by a local Prescott interior designer, Janet Bussell of Bussell Interiors.

"The entire building looks bright and new", said Margo Christensen, VP of Marketing and Public Relations. "Our designer calls it eclectic and contemporary."

The extensive remodel included new carpeting throughout the entire hotel, new wall coverings, porcelain tile in the lobby, decorative metallic panels in the hearth room ceiling, new furniture in the lobby and business center, new soft furniture in the guestrooms, new patio furniture, new window treatments for all windows, and remote-control solar shades in the lobby and business center. The conference room had extensive upgrades as well, including new cabinets and granite counters in the beverage area.

"All of us at the SpringHill Suites are so happy to see the completion of our renovation," said General Manager JL Jernigan, "Our guests seem to be just as pleased as we are. Gary from Colorado made this observation on a comment card: 'It's as good as it gets - a very high class renovation. We stay here every time we come to the area.'"

SpringHill Suites opened in September 1999 and is a locally owned and operated franchise hotel managed by Ponderosa Hotel Management Services LLC. Ponderosa Hotel Management also oversees the management of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Prescott.
